Courageous

Courage is a masculine quality. Of course anyone can display courage, but for a man in particular to not be courageous is inherently shameful. Of course, in modern America, and many parts of the world today, it is easy for men to not be courageous. In fact, in many cases if you call a "man" out for not properly fulfilling his role as a man, you will be vilified by the masses.

Why? Simply because the weak outnumber the strong - vastly.

And it takes a strong man to stand against the current of mindlessly emotional zombies that want nothing more than to consume the latest and greatest forms of sense dulling entertainment. It takes strength, and courage, because that current is strong merely by virtue of that fact that it is made of so many people.

But the courageous man stands firm in the face of his enemy, because he knows that he is the last line of defense against the ideological swords that have come to cut him and strip him of all that he holds dear.

The man of courage looks forward, knowing that no matter what comes his way he will not move. He doesn't dwell in the past or in his failures. He learns the lessons that life teaches him and becomes stronger.

He doesn't allow fear to hold him back from truly experiencing what life has to offer. He doesn't take shit and he is unapologetic about who he is. He has lines that he won't cross, boundaries, and he enforces them.

He is always seeking to improve in every area.

Who is he?

He is you. He is me. He is whichever of us decides to be him. Because courage is a learned skill. It's not something your born with reserved for a few. No, it is something that can and should be learned by each of us.

Too many use the excuse that it's just not who they are, but they don't understand that every step you take is a step you didn't have until you took it. Of course you aren't courageous if you don't put yourself into situations that require courage.

Explore, fight, grow, strive, learn, and become something more.
